Good-bye, LabAutomation and Palm Springs

LabAutomation 2011 was held in Palm Springs, California, January 29 – February 2. This marks the 15th year of the conference, which has been held in Palm Springs throughout, except for a couple of misspent years in San Jose. This is the last time LabAutomation will be held due to the amalgamation of American Laboratory Association (ALA) and the Society for Biomolecular Sciences (SBS) into the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS). In 2012, LabAutomation and the SBS Conference will be combined into a single conference, named SLAS 2012 to be held in San Diego, California, February 4 – 8. Sadly, we will have to say good-bye to Palm Springs as the convention center there will not be able to accommodate all prospective vendors anticipated for the combined conference.

See you next year in San Diego!
